If this had been posted on page 1, surely this debate would have been over long ago.

You'd like to think that, wouldn't you?

I think I lost it at the part where he talks about sensing your opponents moves, especially the part about watching the elbows. I still haven't entered the world of MAs yet and know that's a whole heaping plate of dumb. I didn't realize dragonball z was realistic.

Did anyone else think of this:

These sorts of debates seem rarely fruitful.

It is like Bruce said: It's not the martial art, it's the martial artist.

All martial arts have strengths and weaknesses ... as do any practices in life!

    He should have said:

A BJJ expert / master is a good fighter.

A WC expert / master is a good fighter.

A BJJ + WC expert / master has spent a lot of time training, and is probably a serious badass by now. Don't f-ck with them ... and if they are good at 'splainin their sh-t then you should probably go to their class.

And a master gymnast should also be a good fighter, if for no other reason than his physical conditioning. Something wing chun tends to lack.

    First off, you're an idiot.

Second off, don't censor your posts, you look like an idiot who censors their own posts.

Third off, huh? Read the thread.

In fact, my final "off" is for you to LURK MORE, POST LESS.

A BJJ master / has to have a level of proven competition against equal level competition and wing chun master not so much.

Neither of these statements are automatically true. One of them is hilarious.

Welcome to Bullshido. This is the YMAS (comedy) section of the site. Laughing at the sometimes absurdity of the chun is always worthwhile here.
