When you trap the hand and place your foot next to his, you will no when or if he is going to move or strike. You don't know anything about wing chun.

By setting rules you are in essence "tying our hands behind our back".

There is no rule against trapping the hands in MMA.

We can post the rules if you need them.

By using angling along with the block, wc practitioners are able to trap the arm, enter either side or the middle and strike. Strikes up the middle by a boxer or kick boxer are easily blocked because of the basic hand structure, which is directly in front of the face at the centerline. This makes it extremely difficult for punches to get in. Wing chun is a style that has been designed to handle all styles, including grapplers, boxers and kickboxers. Bruce Lee was a martial art first and foremost. The reason why he made movies is that he wanted to get his martial art out in the world and what better way to get it to a large crowd all of the country then the movies. I never denied his legacy. He was a great martial arts, no doubt about it. Yes, like I said before, he used the best of all styles including fencing, western boxing, karate and wing chun to name a few.
I'm a wing chun guy and don't even believe this bullshit.

"Strikes up the middle by a boxer...are easily blocked"---Then it should be easy for you to demonstrate to us by sparring with a REAL boxer.

Regarding Bruce Lee...actually he was an actor long before he was a martial artist (he was a child actor in hong kong).

Yes he was a child actor, but he was a martial artist first. Yes strikes up the middle are easily blocked.

Want to have a guess how long grappling and boxing have been around?

If you are a "wing chun" practitioner, then why are you arguing with me? Apparently you are more of a BJJ practitioner then a wing chun practitioner.

Maybe because he has more than 6 months of training?

The koolaide runs deep with this one.

I've met one person and gym that does Chunnery as it should be and that's the poster Daniel on here. He spars everyday and works grappling with actual grapplers. His is the only wing chun I respect as I've sparred with him on several occasions.

He also fights mma. His wing chun isn "inhibited by the rules" or too deadly.

    You're delusion man.
