Looks like a lot of effort to put into something that is obviously going to be a commercial flop. Just a gimmeck that will make it into a few movies as the bad guy's gun of choice.

Those pistols are aleady on the market. Other than the "double barrel", you can get an equally rediciously looking GIGANTIC semi-auto by just buying a High Point ACP for $200, shooting it once, and realizing your better off throwing it at your assailant.

How is this... thing... even legal? I thought that any weapon that fires more than one bullet per trigger pull is considered a machine gun.

The ones I've seen have two triggers, but I think they have a single trigger version as well. As the slides are connected, it's not like you could fire one barrel at a time. The whole idea is just a ludicrous publicity stunt, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't show up in some video games or movies.
