Is this true only if you plan on fighting full thai rules and train as much as the thai do?

Ever seen ongbak? did you see when he jumped up and brung down a kick of death to the guys collar bone? badass huh? muay thai definately, all you need to do is grow to 6 foot 7, get a scar across your chest and buy an eyepatch and you'll scare the **** out of those karate pussies

I think size is an issue. Speed VS Power, MT seems the quickest but "seems" to be best suited for smaller - lighter people.

For some one as big and slow as me I prefer Karate. But if I had more time in my life I would love to do some MT.

It's not, but on a commercial level it's probably the number one showcase for heavyweight MT fighters. That's why I used it as an example...dude.
