OK, Fine. I was referring to the blog link as bullshit. If I pulled that, a dozen posters would whine about it being a crap source. Mea culpa.

Florida has an enormous problem with abuse of E911.

Remember we're talking about the same state where people have called E911 because McDonald's ran out of McNuggets. You can't make that up...

I still dont see anything stating that 4 misdemeanors = a felony. After 4 misdemeanor CONVICTIONS the next would become a felony.

Was Zimmerman ever charged with 911 abuse? Let alone convicted?

Your arguments are starting to wander into silly territory here.

Hmm it's somewhere in there. Yes, 4 misdemeanor convictions.

He should have been, if you read the Sanford PD E911 logs, some of the stuff he's called 911 for would get him in big trouble.

Calling E911 for cars moving slowly in the complex? Check.

Calling E911 for people playing loud music? Check.

The guy's profile suggests he wanted to be a real cop, so he armed himself with a gun and a car and a cellphone and a few years down the road, shot an unarmed man for..what?

    Indulging his vigilante fetish?

None of those instances would cross the threshold for 911 abuse. You have to prove that the call was intentionally false...such as saying that you were robbed at gunpoint to avoid telling your wife that an escort stole your wallet.

I'm also not sure where this idea that he was not an "official" neighborhood watch comes from. It may be true, but I just don't know. What's the source?

Sandford clearly has a neighborhood watch program and wants citizens to get involved. http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigati...PowerPoint.pdf

    http://www.sanfordfl.gov/investigati...amHandbook.pdf

Usually these volunteer type things are not official. They're just self-organized kinds of things. And, as I noted, there's evidence from the 911 logs of a neighboor hood watch meeting with the police that Zimmerman attended.

You're also obsessing over the fact that he was armed. Everyone in Florida has a gun. I'm not really exaggerating. It's easy to get a concealed carry permit and many people carry all the time. There's no rule that you have to disarm yourself to be on neighborhood watch.

Yes, for calling e911 without an emergency, and george zimmerman is on record for calling 911 for all sorts of foolishness.

his own neighbors have complained to the local pd and housing management that he's stalked them back to their own homes.
8 years. 8years. 8 years. Stop it. There are many articles that state he stopped robberies as well. Unlike you, I read ALL articles pro, biased, or neutral concerning this "injustice."

His E911 record is full of non-emergency calls. We can disagree....but they lock people up in Florida nowadays for pulling this ****.

Just because he claims to be Watch Commander and carries a gun doesn't give him any right to abuse E911 over any other citizen.

Not sure what you're trying to argue, here. He called the police a lot. We've established that at least once it was the non-emergency line, so not 911; Reading the reports, they mostly seem like valid reasons to call the police. How does this constitute "abuse," in your eyes?
