1 PD: 911 do you need police, fire or medical?
We do have units en route to you ma'am. Is he still there?
Shellie Zimmerman: Yes he is and he is trying to shut the garage door on me.
PD: Is he inside now?
SZ: No, he is in his car and he continually has his hand on his gun and he keeps saying step closer and he is just threatening all of us.
PD: Step closer and what?
SZ: And he is doing to shoot us.
SZ: He punched my dad on the nose. My dad has a mark on his face. I saw his glasses were on the floor. He accosted my father and then took my iPad out of my hand and smashed it and cut it with a pocket knife. There is a Lake Mary city worker across the street that I believe saw almost all of it. He is sitting in his truck right now. He just showed up here but my phone died so I had to call from my father's phone. I'm really, really afraid.
PD: We have units in the area where you are at so just stay on the line with me.
SZ: I don't know what he is capable of. I'm just really scared.

Tide turning... the admitted liar's 911 statements may not hold any water:
"We did not find a gun, did not locate a weapon," said Zach Hudson, public information officer with the Lake Mary Police Department. "Nobody ever saw a gun. A gun is not part of this story."

"Zimmerman told police on the scene that he did not have a gun with him, and that he had never displayed one when he assaulted his father-in-law and smashed his wife’s iPad. Police searched his person and found no gun. They did not, however, search his truck."

They did not, however, search his truck.
His heart was visible, and the dismal sack that maketh excrement of what is eaten.

His wife has doubts about his innocence? Didnt she hear the verdict? His innocence does'nt depend on what she thinks of him personally.

We can certainly have doubts about whether he did anything wrong or is in any morally responsible for what happened, but as far as his guilt or innocence of the crime for which he was charged goes, the jury's verdict is the sole determinant. That is the way the system works. Its not always palatable (see Maldonado case), but its the best way we know how to deal with resolving criminal accusations.
I think we may using different definitions of "guilt." I tend to think of that as strictly as matter of what is decided under the law. It does not mean that he is entirely blameless of having done stupid or dangerous things.
