Circuit Judge Kenneth Lester said Friday that George Zimmerman misled the court about how much money he had available when his bond was set for $150,000 in April. Prosecutors claim Zimmerman had $135,000 available that had been raised by a website he set up.Prosecutors also say he failed to surrender a second passport.
The defense says the finances are an innocent misunderstanding.
Prosecutors allege Zimmerman's wife knew about the donations her husband had collected through a PayPal account, but didn't mention the money at his bond hearing.
The account ultimately collected more than $200,000, his attorney later revealed.
"Defendant has intentionally deceived the court with the assistance of his wife," the motion says. "During the jail phone calls both of them spoke in code to hide what they were doing."
Prosecutor Bernie de la Rionda told the judge today that "this court was led to believe that they didn't have a single penny" at the earlier bond hearing.
Zimmerman's wife "flat out lied to this court," de la Rionda said. Lester agreed, revoking Zimmerman's bond. He must turn himself in, the judge said.
“And he can’t sit back and obtain the benefit of a lower bond or circumstances based upon those material falsehoods. That’s what they were. So at this time, revoke his bond, place him on no bond status. Find that good cause exists based upon the material misrepresentations that the court relied upon. Order him to surrender himself within 48 hours to the sheriff of Seminole county," Seminole County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Lester said.

That really was a fucking retarded thing for Zimmerman to do. I mean, he had a fucking WEBSITE on the INTERNET to raise money and it was covered on the NEWS. He really thought nobody was going to say, "Hmm, wonder if he had any success with that website?"

I've been waiting for that to happen the second he admitted it was used for more than the bond and for his defense.

Can someone explain the implications of having a 2nd undisclosed passport? Jumping the country, perhaps?

In recordings of conversations also released Friday, Zimmerman and his wife are heard talking cryptically about his second passport in a safety deposit box they shared. The two speak in code in the recording.
