Rhetoric can get people off but it's very hard to get a conviction with it. The defense's goal is fairly low--create any reasonable doubt. And we have strong rules prohibit many kinds of improper rhetoric and rules that allow judges to overturn conviction based on failure to prove facts. You really do need evidence in court as the prosecutor.

Zimmerman's not too bright, and is fairly distraught. The chances of him blurting out something, and even perhaps demanding the right to do so instead of just shutting up and sitting down next to his lawyer, strike me as fairly high.

Ah he's screwed now. Everyone knows black people are always guilty in the South.

Or you could you could say this is another case of black on black crime. Should've stuck with Hispanic as his ethnicity of choice.
