16 live fights ? That could potentially take several hours even with only 2 rounds each.
I currently work with a buddy of Dober and I've seen a few of his fights back when he fought in Victory Fighting. Gotta' root for the home town hero absent any knowledge of the other guys.
The match up between the Brit and Belfast guy has serious drama potential. -

That black house kid was super impressive. The one round format seemed to fit the bill even if it is kinda weird. Less chances of injuries if the fight goes the distance plus in most fights a very quick pace.
Do these count as pro fights though as the round limit is way off standard for pro rules?Curiosity killed the cat. But damn it had a blast. -

I didn't like the fact that they only did one round. It made some of the fights really good. But it changed the strategy and there were a couple of fights that really needed a second round. Since they did the one round only, the ref should have stood them up quicker.
Otherwise, I think it is really cool that we are having live fights every week. Can't wait to see how it works out. Fox knew what they were doing to get people watching this season!Combatives training log.

I loved the 10th Planet vs Gracie match. Hearing that guy go "i'm going to show the world that my rubber guard is the best" and then see him roll onto his stomach and get choked out . . . very cute.
also . . . DAT TOE! holy crap. The guy actually looked good until his toe started pointing skyward, then it was all over.
I liked the format and am excited to see "house drama" tomorrow night though. -

so what is the point of this new format of the fight being live, i dont get it. it makes zero fucking difference to the show, except now theres a big annoying clock the ENTIRE EPISODE and the lack of polish really "shines" through, hur hur.
