    Thank you. When I watched the original, I thought he attempted to feint the leg sweep so he could position himself for the Stomach Throw but I also had a second thought that he might just have missed it and - in that moment - saw the possibility of a Stomach Throw, which he then executed.

    That was my train of thought.

    The vid you have kindly posted shows him as, well, he can only be described as "Masterly". Terrific stuff. Thanks again.

    Awesome? Dunno I have a copy of his book somewhere on a harddrive, but can't find it right now and google doesn't give any answers.

    Anybody else notice that this beaut of a throw scored only a koka? I mean, I could be convinced of a yuko, but isn't it fast and controlled, if not fully on the back, making it waza-ari?

    Seriously, any judo refs?

    Funtastic matrix judo throw by Katsuhiko Kashiwazaki

    Furiko means "pendulum." He describes the method of it in his Tomoe Nage book. IIRC, he came up with it in the middle of a sambo contest after missing ko uchi. (He's a Sambo WC too...)
