I can understand the Karate thing (My Soo Bahk Do school did the same, and isn't that essentially what the name Tang Soo Do was all about?) the MMA is a little more disingenious in my opinion.

Agreed on the MMA thing. The most I can say on that point is that the instructors are willing to cross-train fighters from other schools if they want it. :P

Is that cross training them with a view that they are going to compete in a mma match?

No. My history there is short though. Two years. And in that time we have not had anyone come in for cross training. We usually send people interested in MMA or UFC training to Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson's studio down the road. They're world class and would fit the individuals needs much better than we would. Great guys. Great place to train if we don't meet your needs or interests:

Our biggest accolades come from competing against other Hapkido schools, which is hard to find and orchestrate except for the Korean International Games held every three years by the IHF in Korea. Wait.. there is a tournament in August in Michigan. I don't know yet who we'll be competing with, whether they even do hapkido or whether we'll just be sparring. We try to fit in a tournament once a year between the games. But I don't know of any MMA or UFC people cross-training with us.

So in two years they have had nothing to do with MMA, but continue to advertise they teach it. They have no fight record and no experience and no fighters, but you have no problem with this?

These are the guys teaching you honor and respect and all that right?
