FYI to everyone who commented I am taking a break from everything other than school and freestyle wrestling. After a month or so, I am joining a local MMA gym. I am done with the Mcdojo. Thank you all for helping me with this problem.

A friend of mine was training at the Phoenix location for a couple of months, figured out it was a huge McDojo and quit going. I'll ask him how he got out of his contract.

The other people I've talked to who trained at any of the location either thought it was hugely overpriced crap, or they've drunk the krav maga kool-aid and there's no reasoning with them.

Plenty of decent MMA, jits and judo around here. A 10th Planet location w/a brown belt teaching just opened up around the corner from me and I drove past Power MMA on my way to the vet this morning.

Wow. That was some bizarre reading. Cancellation fees and contracts? The ****? If this is standard practice for KM in the states I can understand some of the hostility on this board towards it. And $100 extra to spar? WTF, how can you do krav maga without sparring? Mind boggling!
