There are some forms [styles] of Martial Arts that are not allowed to even have tournaments because of their propensity to cause serious injury, especially in the Kung Fu genre, Chow Gar being one example. Once studied, these techniques are ingrained in the fighter, and will manifest themselves given the circumstance where they may prove an effective game-changer. Tell me then, do you suppose the "mixture" precludes all of these more damaging moves, and/or depends on the fighter to control themselves to the degree that these tactics would only be applied "lightly", for risk of being "penalized"? Not that there's anything wrong with that. OK, got it. -
