You know HH, here in Australia at least I would say that Battlefields is mostly correct. I only need to look around my office right now to see 4 women in my team, and most of them earn more money than me (the other one I have nfi about).
What I dare say Battlefields is going on about is that there's not really any stigma or sexism holding women back from getting there. All these women I mentioned go there through work / skill and negotiation of pay. And they also all work just as hard as me (probably harder since I'm posting here at the moment).
Of course he said it in his usual entertaining way and you bite and ran with it.
As for the OP who rage quit. Boo hoo. Seriously we have women here (Syberia / AnnaT, Kidspatula, etc) that all stay here because they don't take **** to heart and have thick skin and train hard. Regardless of your sex you clearly fall into the group of "aww you guys are mean I'm going to leave!".
Yes, we're mean. But we're not arseholes ... we're dicks, get it right. -

And these are adjusted statistics. I was right. Nya nya nya.
And it took less than a minute to find. Battlefields and his fursecution complex are the product of willfull ignorance to actual socioeconomic conditions in his own country. Nya nya nya.

Interesting one this. Does anyone believe that a government department filled with people dedicated to 'combating inequality of women in the workplace' doesn't have a vested interest in showing that there's inequality in the workplace and continuing to show their's inequality in the workplace regardless of the true state of affairs.
If your salary, mortgage repayments, car repayments and annual holiday depends on there being inequality in the workplace. You can sure as hell bet you're going to do a study that finds there's some inequality there, because the day you stop finding inequality is the day you are out of a job. -

"So much inequality! Inequality EVERYWHERE! Oh Lord, the inequality is unequalled! We'll show you a study... what do you mean that the study doesn't take into account all those things battlefields has tendered as evidence why the pay disparity debate is bullshit? You must hate women and think they are poisonous, plus you obviously don't get laid and you're ugly."- The Office For Women's Affairs.

I don't think you need to go that far. I think you just need to treat statistics produced by the equalities industry in the same way you'd treat statistics produced by any other industry - petro chemical, pharmaceutical, banking etc...
Is everything they say wrong, deceitful and evil?
Probably not, is it going to be unconsciously or consciously influenced by the fact their salaries and employment depend on perpetuating self-interest?
Absolutely yes.
