That's a choice? Also, your most current complaint outside of Switzerland is about 40 years old. The fact that you're willing to accept fanaticism on any level is disappointing.

I don't see much difference in the Deist idea of a creator and the guy who knocks a girl up and them skips town, leaving the kid to either flourish or wither with no input from him.
Your morality here is curious. It seems you've willingly boxed yourself into two seriously shitty choices, and I'm wondering why.

No, the counter argument is that there isn't a creator looking down on you and deciding which pro fighter wins the fight. Why does your thinking not drive you to this possible conclusion?

Or you could grow double the thickness of your opponent. There was that advantage for Boetsch, even if he was shorter. He looked twice as deep, chest to spine.

I mean seriously, what was with that Okami fight? Boetsch's corner in the third was like, "You gotta win this, Tim." And he apparently was like, "Oh, yeah, I should probably do that" and then ran Okami over like the past 2 rounds hadn't even happened!

It was like watching Voltron, and the whole time you're wondering... "Why didn't he just pull out the fucking sword in the first two seconds of the fight?"

Well, I could have gone with the fact that the Swiss make great chocolate, cool watches, bodyguard the Pope, or that they've been neutral in just about every major conflict in the 20th century. (Farther back than that if you consider "will send troops to support whichever side shells out the dough" as a form of neutrality) but I decided the Swiss bank account thing was the most mockworthy, the first three factors are more things to take pride in.

Atheism relies a bit too much on "Random stuff just happens, and it ends up in a sort of well organized system" for me to buy into it, while the whole "The only thing we can know is that we can't know anything for sure" aspect of agnosticism just annoys me.

And my counter arguement was offered in context of assuming that there is a Creator Deity, which is kind of the point of theistic or deistic belief systems. If one approaches it from nihilistic, existential, naturalistic, or boy howdy I am going to stop name dropping philosophies, then yes, it's peculiar.

Tim was trying to create drama so he could get the Fight and KO of the Night bonuses?
That's the fun thing about watching guys with heavy hands or nasty submission skills, at any second they can turn things around at any given moment. It's going to be interesting to see where he goes at 185...Yushin wasn't far removed from his title shot, and if Silva retires after the Sonnen fight the whole division is up for grabs.

Maia, Belcher, Palhares, Sonnen (depending on how he looks vs Anderson), and of course Bisping is always 1-2 wins away from a title shot because Zuffa has to hook British fans somehow...it's going to be an interesting year to be sure.

Nope. Atheism is not a belief system or a religion. It is a response to a question or assertion (depending on who you're talking to): That a god exists, or might exist. An atheist believes the answer is no, or that the probability is so low that it's not worth acknowledging on a day to day basis.

Agnostics who say that we may never know may be right, but those who put the probability of either option on equal footing are either being intellectually disingenuous or giving themselves/others some kind of coddling.

Personally, I'm both an Atheist and an A-Deist, meaning that I don't think a god exists, but if he did (at least in the form put forth by Christian theology), that would be a terrible and awful thing for the world.

Boetsch has been on my radar since he fought at 205, and for the life of me I don't get why he doesn't have a humongous fan base. The first time I saw him fight was when he threw David Heath (a heavy favorite in that fight) like a fuckin' baby and ko'd the stunned fighter shortly after with follow-up punches.

Since then he seemed to have trouble on the ground dealing with guys who were bigger (Phil Davis), so I think at 185 he's both a physical specimen and in the right bracket for his punching power.

He'll need to sure up his ground game, though, because while his wrestling is good, if he gets put on his back against Maia or put ANYWHERE on the ground against Palhares, he'll be fucked.

This Okami fight showed some holes there, and anyone who's smart will exploit them rather than trying to stand with a guy who punches like a pornstar fucks - hard, and a lot.

The two huge throws on Nick Ring he hit are what did it for me. Can't upload the gifs to post here for some reason, but they were awesome.

These two did it for me. If his stand-up wasn't so ugly I'd peg him for easy title contention.

    There ya go, lil' fella...

I actually think his stand up is rather good. He comes from a JKD background, from what I understand, and he throws good knees out of the clinch as well as nasty kicks. He obviously has heavy hands too, though like most kickboxers, lacks in head movement.

I see his real problem as ground work. All his losses come from dominant wrestlers/grapplers - Matt Hamill, Phil Davis, Matyushenko. He needs to work on getting back up once he lands on his ass.

MAYBE HE CAN TRY THE RIPPIN' AND THE TEARIN'. [/crossover thread joke]
