    thank you that is pretty good to know, reading about the high eyes i feel i have experienced that with one of the guys i train with. and i've seen that dudes video before good stuff.

    For "sport Karate" I have found the simple lead leg boot-to-boot (either inside or outide) works pretty well as soon as they drop their kick. Seems to work really well on ones that scoot forward with mulitple kicks.

    Just slide back and slightly on an angle and as soon as they put their foot down a relatively short, quick sweep will throw their balance off. This usually results in the hands coming down. Followup with Jab-cross or whatever your favorite combo happens to be.

    I find most of my better foot sweeps come from letting the other guy move forward. It is important to not just move backward; that little bit of moving on an angle makes all of the difference.

    nice, i can see how the angle makes a difference. i didn't think about taking the foot while they are landing, thats something to try.
