Foot Sweep entries

Two things i would like to know, from a striking perspective have you found any tell tale signs people have when going in for a sweep and what kind of entries have you used to execute a sweep when sparring?

As for your first question, the only thing that I can imagine is if they try and keep your guard and eyes high they're definitely going to shoot in low with something after. That could mean a good kick to the liver/ribs, or a sweep. That's really one big thing that I look for.

As for entries, my favorites would have to be the double jab to go for an inside leg sweep, or a good one-two punch (kizami-gyaku combo), and let your hip drive your back leg through the sweep. I've probably learned the most about karate sweeping from the gentleman in this video:

Hahaha touche, but to be fair I was thinking specifically for sports karate uses, as I can only imagine that's what OP was asking about. Most of us krotty types don't really even know how to shoot in for a take down anyway.
