You can't skim his OP the listing isn't the issue. The OP's hearsay claim is that EB's lineage is sketchy and that the BB wasn't earned from Moerira or Mancuso it is an affiliation listing only.

If you call Joe, he'll confirm he did NOT promote Erick Bonifacio to BB himself, however.

To be a complete pedant, that does not mean he promoted him to any of his ranks as questioned by the OP. He is claiming it is an affiliation. That he joined the group/affiliation and NOW "he is a black belt under Moreira."

Is the issue clear now?

On Friday, I was wearing the white belt, over the weekend, the instructor met with me. He acknowledged my rank and directed me to wear my black belt. Had your friend been there taking pictures on Friday, and then came back on Monday night, what would he have thought?!?!

I guess my point was, he briefly trained at our academy as a blue belt then suddenly disappeared. Then within a short period (<2 years) he's teaching as a black belt. Again, I'll follow up w better dates, but again this is hearsay as I have no documented proof. I do vaguely remember seeing him training at our academy, but I do not recall rolling w him. Other teammates do remember, and stories about him resurface often, which is why I finally posted about him. Again, he was kicked out for offering cash for the purple, but that's also hearsay...
