I never even questioned his academic credentials, but his pattern in consistent. They always want to be a master, a professor, a Soke, or some other such. The Olympic thing bugs me, but the Navy SEALs claim burns my ass. With the Stolen Valor Act having been challenged in court, justice may never prevail.
I am still waiting for Veri-SEAL to provide information on his alleged service with them. I spoke with a couple of his students, and he seems to have a cult-like following. -

Ran across this turd of a video on a Youtube search...
Also, I found that he has an MMA fighter for "No Decision Apparel" named Corey Waide who shows Mr. Wright as his fight trainer. He shows a 3-4 record on their website, however I can not find anything else about him anywhere.Last edited by TexJohn; 2/14/2012 9:02pm at .

Mr. Wright also claims to have trained many black belts, who have become champions:
One of the people he lists is Steve "Nasty" Anderson, who I found out was pretty dang good and pretty popular in the 1990's. If there's a karate guy out there who knows how, this may be an easy way to confirm or deny some of his claims. P.S. This was taken from the Info section of his facebook.Martial Arts Academy is run by Master Emile Wright the light heavy weight champion for twelve years. He has several black belts including Jimmy Frick and Gean Fletcher whom are both thrid dans, Robbie Connafield and Brant Schoenbeck whom are second dans, and Chris Criswell, Sabrina Criswell, Brandon Bates, and Peter Soddy whom are all first dan black belts. His most famous student is Steve "Nasty" Anderson who held the world heavy weight championship for twenty-two years.
In his classes, Coach Wright teaches kata, sparring, kick boxing, jiu jitsu, grappling, self defense, twelve different weapons, and rape prevention.
Classes are $10 a week or $40 a month Monday through Friday from 4 p.m to 5:30 p.m.
Ages range from 4 - 65.
*Coach Wright offers a home study program. Dvd's are available!
