On Home Turf and feeling Brave. They've always been very bad losers.
- 1966 World Cup Quarter Final. England 1 Argentina O. Capt Rattin sent off. Quite Right.
- 1967-8 World Club Championship. Both Celtic + Man Utd subjected to shocking assault and rank cheating.
- 1982 South Georgia + Falklands.
- 1977 England visit Argentina in preparation for possible qualification. England are barbarously treated and Trevor Cherry gets his Jaw broken. Deliberately.
- 1978 World Cup. I liked their play. And then I remain the opposing goalkeeper who was born...wait for it...in Argentina, and they needed a lot of goals...which they got (amazing).
- 1990 World Cup Final. Italy v Argentina. Incredible how Maradona and more weren't Sent Off by the Ref, especially when they deliberately ran into him.
**** 'em.
Thanks for posting, though. -

You are correct, sir.
I was having a lash in the bogs and reading some very funny graffiti and wandering back to the bar to continue the afternoon (sorry, the EVENING) drinking session, and consequently wore a large smile as I started to return to my work colleagues. As I proceeded along the walkway by the Bar, a group of attractive ladies were settling themselves into a seating area, and I glanced at them as I was heading back. One of them immediately spat out the words "Piss Off!" at me. (It must have been the aura of my charm.)
I continued to walk and - as the smile fell from my face - I recounted the graffiti etc, laugh, smile, and unkind lady's comment directed at me. All 4 (including 1 lady in my group) looked at them. At that moment, the group of ladies got up and all left the Belgrano.
It was probably my anti-perspirant :-) -

FTFY.
Funny how everything we do down there is "an act of aggression".
Send a celebrity search and rescue helicopter pilot? Act of aggression!
Take an ageing naval vessel out of service and replace it with it's modern cousin? Act of aggression!!
Grant the islands' residents the right to self-determination under the UN Charter? ACT OF AGGRESSION!!!!!!
Be interesting to see how many of the South American countries will still be siding with the Argies when we start pumping oil and tendering for refinement sites. -

Blimey. hah - y Memory at fault here. Sorry, freund. :-) Germany v Argentina....now I remember.
Sidenote, Harry Redknapp was asked if he was interested in the Euros. He said, yes, if they were unmarked and untraceable ;-)
If he does take the vacancy as England manager, will Jurgen Klinsmann return to Spurs as Manager. Srsly, that's one rumour doing the rounds.
Cheers
