RIP Angelo Dundee
90 years old and seems like he died at peace.
I'm curious to see where they are going to try to rank him in terms of greatest trainers of all time. With his time with Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard, I would expect he would be in the top, if not considered the greatest.

No, he wasn't the greatest trainer of all time. Ali trained himself. When 'Clay' phoned him to spar with Willie Pastrano and Willie agreed, Angie thought Pastrano was taking it easy or was just out of sorts. Pastrano put him wise: "Angie he beat the crap out me".
Ray Charles Leonard? same again. Janks Morton helped to mould him etc. Angie was brought in to fine tune after all the hard work had been done.
I liked him and he did a couple of great things with Clay/Ali. He sent him out against Liston when he wanted to quit cos of dodgy liquid in his eyes and he rescued him at the end of his career when Herbert Muhammad wouldn't....
RIP Angelo. You were Great.

This man was a true legend , few people in boxing are as revered as Angelo Dundee.
