Overeem Charged with Battery

Looks like Overeem has been charged with roughing up a female. Not good.

Prior to his last fight there was the whole testing fiasco. Now he'll be dealing with this prior to the JDS fight. You've got to think the drama will take a toll at some point.

Alistair Overeem shoves a woman in the face causing her to just "stagger" back? She must have been Ms. Olympia. Or, and I might be a little jaded, getting famous magically turns all those accidental bumps in crowded places into possible charges and possible paydays. Anyway, he hasn't been arrested and I doubt it'll turn into anything. He'll get his day in court and we'll get to hear his side.

The JDS fight is far enough off that I doubt this will affect it (unless of course he is found guilty and given the maximum sentence.)

If Overoids shoved any woman under 400lbs she would end up in the next zipcode, and if it was in the face her head would fly off like Mortal Kombat. It was probably just a back off nudge.

In any case, Overeem in the news just hypes up his next fight. I doubt the UFC will care about the charges against him when it means more people will pay to watch his fight vs JDS.

I don't think the amount of damage he inflicted is the point (assuming he did it at all, of course.)

I, for one can count on no fingers the amount of times I've had to "shove a woman's face."

Since the story isn't too specific I'm just giving him the benefit of doubt. It's not uncommon for celebrities to get mauled by fans, so I'm wondering if he stuck his arms out because people were getting to friendly and her face got in the way lol. But considering how most popular athletes are behaving these days it could be he pushed her because she made fun of his shrunken ball sack.
