I'm a little surprised at the number of people who seem to think honking their horns is somehow out of line when this dude was obviously already spoiling for a fight. A horn is there for a warning when people do stupid **** in their cars, it isn't a ram bar and it doesn't set people's grandmothers on fire.

Honking your horn isn't any more out of line than wearing a mini skirt, or walking down an alley. You have every right to do both.

Unfortunately, the world is full of shits, and any of the above increase your risk of interacting with them.

Well, it's better for everyone involved that you didn't go cracking his head against the ground.

I dont really use my horn except for when its needed, like potential emergencies and the like.

To me it's the same as abusive language but louder, which no self respecting man is going to take laying down.

It could be possible his adrenaline dumped so his punches were weak. RBSD forever.

    Glad you're okay.

Not really for me. Just a bit pissed. I'm quite pleased on how calm I was, but not at how easy I went on him. However, in retrospect, its best for everyone involved. After the head kick I very well could have gone in and finished him but I really didn't want to stay there explaining to the police.

It was very good that you went easy as has been mentioned in this thread before. Why go all out and risk doing serious harm to him and being the one who needs to explain...?

On the one hand, I agree. On the other hand, who can say whether the next punch of the guy might actually connect hard and knock you out?

However, yeah. The way it turned out it was certainly best for what it was.
