Klitschko vs. Brewster
anybody else see Wladimir get tooled like a bitch?
okay in summary form:
Wladimir kills Brewster through 4 rounds. god knows how brewster stayed up.
Wladimir gasses in 5th? round, Brewster smashes his face with a left and Wladimir goes down. Wladimir gets up barely and Brewster chases him around the ring and finally connects as the bell rings. Referee stops the fight after waiting for Wladimir to get up, it took him like 20 sec.
Huge upset, go brewster. Kitschko's career may be over.
Vitaly fights april 24 against Corey Sanders, the guy who knocked Wladimir out in the first round.
If he loses, that may be all for the heavyweight division.
It's was weird to see Klitschko suddenly drop his hands like that. I mean, what the hell was he thinking?
But he'd thrown like what? 350? punches. Too many, no discipline. With that many thrown, as hard as he throws them, it's a disgrace the fight didn't end in the third round.
yeah, lack of disipline was definitely showing. during the prefight they showed him working with Emmanuel Steward, guess he wasn't paying enough attention.
i think you have to give a huge amount of credit to Brewster and i hope he doesn't suffer too much long term damage from those shots. 'cause damn, he was getting clobbered.
If THAT gassed him, he's finished.
I hope Lamon enjoys it while it lasts, cuz he was lame too. I like the take-massive-head-shots-and-hope-it-works-out strategy.
I was kinda liking Brewster, 'cause he took such a ****-kicking and stayed in ... till he said something after the fight like "God chooses a man ..."
I fucking HATE it when athletes do this. Yeah, asswipe, God REALLY cares who wins a fucking boxing match.
did i hear someone say "glass chin"?
I don't think it was a matter of chin. He wasn't knocked out, he was gassed out. He's a big guy and there is a limit to his stamina.
I don't think he will ever be a champion, but I don't know if he should give up boxing. He could still make a lot of money fighter guys in the top ten.
He gased terribly.Because he was tight. He was tight because he was nervous.
I saw him fight like 10 tiomes prior to Sanders. He was loose...he seemed totally confident which made him relaxed.
Then Sanders TKO'd him, and his last 3 fifghts he's been a different fighter.
He seems terrified to get hit.
It's a natural reaction.
When I'm coming off injuries, or a bad loss, I am like that.
Being tight tires you, and also makes blows you absorb much more damaging.
He is a different fighter now than he was when he was beating up on Chris Byrd.
For him to get it back he has to accept that he might lose and just say "f&ck it!"
Alot of these new athletes use visualisation methods to gain confidence. But it bites em, in the ass when they start to lose. They start fearing the expectations theyve made for themselves.
Fighters are best when they walk to the ring thinking "i might lose, but Im gonna fight as hard as I can"
Klitschko is thinking "I CANT lose.... it will ruin everything."
i read in the news today that klitschko is probably suffering from diabetes... he apparently said that he already felt bad in the first round and didn't have the power to finish brewster off after sending him to the canvas.
well, if the diabetes suspicion is true, it's the end of his career.
