All I learned from that story is that you need to stop smoking. Other than that, you seem like a good influence toward children crossing the street.
Shut the hell up and train.

This wouldn't have happened if you knew how to murder a person in his sleep with poison.

None of it would have happened if that Mother had the moral fortitude to have kept her trousers on a couple of times a few years previous.

When life gives you lemons... BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!

"what's the best thing about aikido then?"

Yeah, I know I need to stop smoking, been planning to forever. And yes, I try to be a good influence (I have two kids myself who live with my ex-wife)...

Yeah, slapping style breakfalls work great on a flat surface, but not so well when you've no control over where you're falling - curbs, etc.

Next time be sure to carry a pack of Marlboro Lights with you so any potential opponents will be so disappointed in your lack of taste they'll not only not fight you, but offer a good cigarette instead. At worst you can throw the pack at your opponent as to ward them off.

Also **** ice, that **** always strikes when I'm carrying groceries or trying to be macho or some other situation where I'd prefer not to be doing impressions of Charlie Chaplin.

    Step 1: Stop smoking.
Step 2: Reap the benefits of better health.
Step 3: Find a shitload of money has been saved from not smoking.
Step 4: With extra money move to a city that has a better class of citizen and climate.
Step 5: Enjoy your new and improved life.

Moral: The catalyst for a better life is the "stop smoking" part. Trust me.

Keep smoking 'cause it's badass. Any ***** can quit smoking. It takes a man to face lung cancer. Don't talk **** back to people when you're standing on ice, and wear golf shoes.

Glad you knew how to take control of the situation even after having the odds seemingly out of your favor. Chances are, the guy had a lot of thinking to do after getting beat by a guy he put on the ground with no effort.
