    Introduction

Hello Bullshido! Don't have alot of martial arts experience, other than 2 years of high school wrestling and 6 months of boxing. Currently looking for a judo/bjj school. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Welcome to the forum. Why did you quit boxing?

I moved to a different city, so I had to quit boxing. I did enjoy it but I'm more comfortable grappling. Probably because of my build. I'm 5'7" and 175lbs. ( "a short stocky ****!" one of my wrestling coaches used to say)

You can certainly box lg guys with the right techniques but it's true in my experience as a lg fellow, little guys who take me down have a certain advantage over those who don't throw. So where are you? Someone might rec'd a school.

Currently residing in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Taller opponents who move well were always a problem for me in boxing, wrestling not so much.
