Boring card. They should've just shown Charles Olivera snagging a calf slicer. That was fucking awesome.
Bisping has improved; I was impressed with his ability to deal with Sonnen's wrestling. He also fought at a high pace for the entire fight and was aggressive with his standup.
Sonnen is going to get tooled badly in the standup when he rematches Silva if he couldn't get the better of Bisping on the feet. I'm completely convinced now his somewhat decent showing in the first fight's standup was a fluke and/or really was due to injury.
How much of an effect did the change in opponent effect Sonnen?
If you believe Sonnen on the matter, it had no effect. He says that he doesn't do a training camp for specific opponents; he gets into the gym, does his workouts, drills, sparring, cardio, etc, and calls it a day.

I think the decision probably should have gone to Bisping but I think its just another case of takedowns getting scored too highly.
(how else could you justify giving Chael either round 1 or 2?)
Either way I think Michael proved that he is among the very best at 185lbs.
Damien Maia looked horrible again. Another high level BJJ guy deciding to start a new career as a mediocre kickboxer.
Evans looked pretty good. Im looking forward to the Jones fight now.
Always good to see Mike Russow.
Bisping was robbed, Sonnen looked like a drunk swinging wild punches. I cant get over how bad he looked and how good Bisping looked, his hands we very fast and accurate and his takedown defence was brilliant, if the Sonnen from last night shows up against Silva he'll be murdered.
Finally, Sonnen vs Silva 2. It's on like Charles Bronson.
But none of Bisping's many punches seemed to do any damage. Sonnen was pretty much just as ugly after the fight as he was before. But yeah, unless he changes something major Silva will destroy him.

May I mention when Sonnen fought Silva the 1st time, he had almost 17x a normal man's testosterone in his body? He got hyper-revved and still lost.
Having to fight without that, must be hard, against someone like AS. It's tough **** though, you're not supposed to cheat. I'm now looking forward to the rematch, to watch Anderson tool him, and practically retire the guy, with such a fierce and overwhelmingly drawn-out, sustained, prolonged dance-beating of a nature so epic, that Sonnen's nuts will hide in his bladder, until he's 65.
