Don't question Pittman's credentials but that belt system is sad to see.

Took me 8 years with several injuries and several international medals to get to brown. That's why it irks me.

But it's a free world I guess.

because i am trying to explain the system a little better for the author of this post. . .

I mean that is an interesting breakdown of rank skill and weakness from someone who says " consumed."

ive seen it from both sides. i used to be consumed by my belt color and number of stripes, now im not. when i can armdrag a redbelt into a hooksweep before he realized he grabbed the wrong sleeve, thats the way i guage my jiu jitsu. me now would have annihilated me two months ago. im making progress and improving, so who cares what my belt looks like. did i clarify enough? i apologize, just trying to cover all bases.

it is, but what's right is right. whether klay is or not is not up to any of us to say, royce gracie and carlos machado both seem to really approve of the academy. who knows what carlos and helio would think. . . im going to brazil for awhile this summer. ill train with real brazilians. ill let everyone know how that goes.

Why doesn't Carlos adopt the same belt system then?

Interesting, and what belt color will you wear down in Brazil? Which academy will you be training at if you don't mind me asking?

ill wear my belt. whatever itis when i go, and i have no clue, but itll be with one of the gracies. a buddy of mine here is a brown belt from royce. he kills it. hes the one who said i could go with him this summer. and its silly to ask why carlos doesnt adopt klays system. carlos taught klay. makes no sense. now you're just toying with me. i think ive done what i intended here. thanks for the feeback, and listening to and being gracious to a noob. Train hard.
