EuroMega 4 ThrowDown: The Early Rounds

    EuroMega Throwdown 4:

EuroMega 4 Throwdown 2012 (come to Belgium for fries and fisticuffs).

    City: Leuven (Lovain), Belgium

Place: Sportfaculty Catholic University Leuven (Judo hall)
    ( Building GDN:
    http://www.kuleuven.be/sport/accommodatie/index.htm )

Date: Not yet determined, but it has to be BEFORE the 15th of September 2012

    Hours:
On Friday: from 20 o'clock until 22 o'clock, we can join Brasa Belgium for a training session of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
On Saturday: from 12 o'clock until 18 o'clock the TD, than the old market of Leuven until....
I know a great Belgian restaurant, so bring some lunch money with you.

Seminar(s): yes, which ones I'm not sure off yet, probably one by my Muay Thai Khru and I'll try to get one in BJJ, Freestyle Wrestling or Savate. Still in planning stages.

Someone bring along a camera! (I'll bring mine too)

    Gear
    stand-up:
    - mouthpiece
    - cup

    Optional (but prefered)
    - shinpads

    Optional
    - boxing headgear

    grappling:
    - mouthpiece
    - cup
    Optional
    - kneepads
    - a gi

How to get there by train

Brussel - Leuven: one-way-ticket train 2nd class is around 5.

Best is to buy a one-way-ticket from Brussels to Leuven and the second day when you return you buy an one-way-ticket to Brussels, because a two-way-ticket is exactly the double, but you have to use it on the same day.

Train from Brussels to Leuven is easy: there are 3 stations in Brussel, South, Central and North. Get on a train in one of these stations, once you have passed the 3 Brussels stations, the next one is Leuven (takes about 22 26 minutes).

For train tickets: on the week-ends you can get a week-end ticket which you can use from Friday 19:00 'till Sunday 23:59 (to and fro) and which costs about as normal one-way fare.

    Extra Information:

This year we are going to break with the tradition of the 1st of October.
The reason is that once mid September I'll be in Beijing until early December.
This means also that I have to save up all my holidays, so no trips to Spain or Sweden/Norway this year.

So give some dates that you can come in the summer months before the 15th of September 2012 when you post in this thread.

    Let the games begin,

Count on me. I should be able to very much adapt to any schedule,
as long as it is, indeed, before September 15.

Between August 28th and September 11th might be particularly bad for me, but I should be able to work that out.

But tell, why Beijing?! Work, or leisure?

    Love.

My girlfriend will be working there for about two years before she can transfer to somewhere in Europe, so in September I also start Mandarin classes (and skip two months immediatly ^_^ ).

Too early for me, in all likelihood.

Mid-to-end of August might be the best choice, lest we want to stage it in the spring.

This sounds awesome. July will be too early for me too, September or October would be great (need to save up money to get there though). November is too late because I am planning of taking part in the Northern German BJJ/Wrestling Championships and I will need to train a lot beforehand (will still get my ass handed to me but whatever).

    Subscribing to stay informed :)
