Okay.... I guess that's your way of saying he should've looked for a cheaper striking art or at the very least another school at a better rate? I hate to make assumptions but Denton isn't a major metropolis in Texas so I'm guessing he had no choice but to pay those rates.

Style: Hapkido, Judo--
So I just took my first class at Optimist Judo, nice people and I like Judo!
FWIW I got complemented on my ground work and falling techniques, so I feel more confident in the quality of at least that part of my HKD training.
(BJJ hasn't called me back, showed up in person but the trainers were elsewhere.) -

Style: Fire and Water Kickboxing--
There is a 2 hour class 4 nights a week. Half workout and half fighting. Cost is one US dollar. I do full contact glove fighting but they also offer open hand (kung fu) and Aikido which I dabble in. This is in Tennessee.
I do one private lesson per week for 20$. This also gets me access to the gym to train on my own time.
if you went to everything offered you would spend 96 dollars for 4 hours private and 32 hours of class time. Im happy.
