    Basic techniques vs Advanced techniques. The way I break it down is Basic: should and could everybody have this in their arsenal? Answer: Yes. Advance; Not necessary to have in your arsenal, should have a better grasp on the basics before utilizing, need to know of various mechanics before you can grasp.

    Yes, the initialization of close knee and then switching off is what I'm talking about. We initialize with that knee to open up more options. It allows us a chance to set up leg locks or pass in reverse if the opportunity arises.

    Usually just some hip escape action or some last minute desperation to break posture.
