Sorry if that's a dumbass question, I figured there might be something you could do maybe from when both players are standing.
Edit: In other words, to me, it looked like one of those compromising positions where anything you do is just about ok because you're gonna be effed in the a if your opponent pulls it off.

Style: Boxing/Sanda/BJJ--
That first move looks really cool. I currently employ a MT-style variation where I pick rear leg up like I'm about to kick, which triggers the check, then step in and kick out the other leg. I notice that in the San Shou version that you show, you trigger the check with the step instead. I definitely am going to try this when I get the chance, but my question is, what do you do if he doesn't check when you step for whatever reason?
