There is no martial art that is going to quickly teach you how to fight in any situation...seriously. If you are cruising for self-defence that bad carry a knife...get a gun. I would probably say you are looking at atleast a 6 month commitment to be able to spar in boxing much less be able to trash bozo's. Grappling would do you better but it still is not going to be "quick"
