I'm not going to derail a police officer memorial thread with a gun proliferation debate.
My last word on the subject will be that if you allow a majority of the law abiding population to own guns, then the criminal population will be almost exclusively armed.
Also if every time a police officer interacts with a member of the public criminal or otherwise he knows they may be armed this completely changes the relationship between citizen and law enforcement.
As can be seen by the completely different measures necessary to ensure ordinary citizense don't get shot in the US in another thread in this forum and the, by comparison, blaze attitude of UK subjects to being stopped by their police force.
I'm not opposed to guns per se, but widespread gun ownership increase the likelihood that a policeman will be shot and killed in the line of duty.
Its a sad fact, but true.
I won't post again and just let me opinion stand so that the thread can continue to commemorate those public servants who have given their lives in the line of duty and to continue the sympathy extended to those women and children left husband-less and father-less by the death of officers by gunfire when trying to protect the public.
PS.
If you really feel so strongly about this then PM me to continue the conversation. -

You knew it was going to cause a derail with your first post. Then you leave another response with "pm me." -

You did, the link is in the thread. Now you have your own thread. You've expressed it in other threads that are still in that forum. Just not that thread and it has been culled repeatedly since it started. You aren't the first nor the last.
There is a report post button go ahead. We do have discussions and we all do not agree. If it is moved back, there are no hard feelings on my end. You aren't a **** poster most of the time. -

It was a cull from that specific thread not from the entire forum. As I said, you have not been culled from advancing your gun opinions anywhere else on this ENTIRE website except that one thread.
I can't be any clearer. If that specific thread is so important, that none of the other culling anywhere else stops you from posting, I can't help you.
I have culled two threads. One was a military KIA remembrance thread and an officer remembrance thread.
Yes, I see what you tired to do.
There is a sticky at the top, you tell me.I'd like to know whether or not I'm allowed to advance opinions that aren't pro gun ownership in the Armoury.
