Hehe, putting THIS MAN in a Chinese prison?
Probably not a good idea... Or some weird sort of payback.

But really, that new movie he is doing?
Nothing says "I am a peaceful priest" like this picture.
You just don't **** with a Grammaton Cleric.

I find it hard to fault anyone that punches Christian Bale.

Ah, has he really gotten worse? He's a great actor, after all.
I loved him in Training Day and Gattaca!
Solves puzzles that torture the mind.

How dare Christian Bale try and do something positive with his influence! what does he think he is better than the rest of us now? Nobody cares about that chinese guy anyway what part of that did he not understand? You certainly don't see "normal" people trying to help that guy, Bale should have just stayed in hollywood with his rich egotistical friends.

Could be one side of it.
On the other hand: you're a celebrity, you're getting so much attention and I guess you think that a number of people are looking up to you or feel that you're some kind of role model. You feel strongly about something. Wouldn't you think... with all the media attention I get, if I don't try to do something, who else would?
I don't think I can fault Bale for what he did there, basically no matter what the reason is.

No matter what internet hate he might get, the guy - and king Leonidas! - inspired me to entertain generations of frightened kids during summer camp:
Hard not to like the guy. In difference to the idols of our youth,
he can actually, well, act.

This was the best casting decision in a science fiction movie about dragons, ever:

Keysi Fighting Method loses again?
I'm pleased Bale did something with his notoriety other than yell at some poor below-the-line worker on the set of a shitty movie.
