    Ultimate Home Gym

What would you put in your ultimate home gym?

Here's what I have so far in mine.

    1. Wooden dummy
    2. Pullup bar
    3. Homemade Kettlebells
    4. Jump rope

    I intend to add:

    1. A Heavy bag

    Any thoughts on this?

    In addition to VM's items:

    Double-ended bag
    Lots of mirrors
    And since I'm now on the strength-training tip . . .
A pair of cable machines (like this)
A bench and some free weights

All ours has is a ballet barre (for the missus although I use it as well), shotputs, bokken, poi, fitness ball, a few light freeweights (also the missus). I'd really dig having a Thai banana bag, but it ain't gonna happen in this apartment...

I've been trying to figure out how to hang a heavy bag, if not, I'm at least putting in a canvas-and-sand wall bag. Something to whale on is a must, and gloves + wall doesn't let me hit hard enough to enjoy it.

My ULTIMATE home gym, now: lei tei, judging platform with altar and big-ass drum, heavy bags, freeweights (bar, dumb, kettle), rack o' practice weapons, locked arsenal o' real weapons, and at least half a dozen ninjas training at all times. Oh, and a Japanese bath with attached sauna and live-in Thai masseuse.

    That's living, right there.. ;)
I would liken it to the boxing or the muay thai of internal kung fu, even though that's like calling apples the oranges of the apple world. --WalkOn

    Kismasher is correct.
Add the dips bar and virtual_mantis has it all.

All I need is a grappling dummy, a weight bench, some free weights, a treadmill, lots of body weights, a big backyard and a punching bag and I've got a home gym and a sparring area.

I have a two bedroom apartment and **** all room for anything, bar my dumbbells. I desperately need to move so I can get some room to bash a heavy bag at home and build my wooden dummy.
