Pa-Kua with Nicolas Nobile/Rogelio Giordano - Boulder, CO

Hey everyone! I don't think I've posted anything on this site in years, but it looks great now!
Anyway, I just came to ask if you guys knew anything about the validity of a new baguazhang school in my city (Boulder). I've been out of martial arts ever since I stopped doing the Sin Kwang The version of shaolin when I was about 16, because I realized the school was bullshit. But I've had an interest in learning Xingyiquan ever since then. I meant to join a bagua school back then that was part of the Luo De Xiu system, but that school closed before I ever joined because they couldn't make enough money to keep the school open.

Anyway, I just heard about a new bagua school taught by Nicolas Nobile, who in their system is under Rogelio Giordano. They've been advertising around my university a lot, and I know some people who are planning to try it out, but the school has some red flags - though these flags aren't that substantial - for one thing, they're wearing gis. For another, there are pictures of these bagua practitioners doing flying kicks. I've had some trouble finding much information on them, so I was wondering if you guys had any information on the validity of their system.
    Here's their website: http://www.pakua.org/

While looking for information on them, I found these, and I was wondering if you guys knew anything about them:

    http://baguaboulder.com/
They teach Yin style, and the head is He Jinbao, who's a student of Dong Haichuan.

    http://westgateboulder.com/
These guys teach Fu style bagua. The teacher is Adam Reed, who's a student of Johnny Kwong Ming Lee.

If any of you are at all familiar with the Boulder area and what's available here, please let me know. Again, what I really want to learn is Xingyiquan/Hsing-I Chuan. I know we have a decent Judo school, Taiji school, BJJ school and Aikido school. The taiji school is too expensive, though, and I don't really have any interest in BJJ or Aikido, so maybe my best bet is the Judo school.

    Thanks!

Why don't you post the info on the Judo school to the JMA forum instead?

He Jin Bao does not **** around. Whether his Boulder students have any juice is another issue. But judo will likely get you where you'd like to be faster.

Because he asked about three CMA schools first. He can post the Judo school and it is easy to contact BKR and direct him to this thread.

To the OP, it's sad that the school under lineage of Luo De Xui closed owing to costs. A familiar story....for some of us and others.

I continue to follow this group originally started by Edward Hines, who handed over to Nick Cumber and Matt Biss. Ed now lives in Paris, where he continues to teach and recently performed as Uke for Luo in a visit to France. My interest in Ba Gua continues but I remain committed to Trad JJ. I'll make time eventually.

School is www.palmchange.com and you can link to the wider community of Yizong in their links. Edit: community under Luo.

    In the meantime, good luck.
