Here as a interesting article from Slate about a challenge to the NY ban on "combative sport." The plaintiffs are making the rather novel argument that martial arts are inherently artistic and thereby an expressive activity that should be protected under the First Amendment.

Yeah, Slate was about the 27th publication to cover this but the article more than makes up for it by being the worst written one.
