Jon Jones vs. Lyoto Machida
Frank Mir vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (I hate that I just made that pick)
Tito "The Peoples Champion" Ortiz vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira
Mark Hominick vs. Chan Sung Jung
Brian Ebersole vs. Claude Patrick
Igor Pokrajac vs. Krzysztof Soszynski
Dennis Hallman vs. John Makdessi
Nik Lentz vs. Mark Bocek
Yves Jabouin vs. Walel Watson
John Cholish vs. Mitch Clarke
Jared Hamman vs. Constantinos Philippou
Rich Attonito vs. Jake Hecht

Jones fights well from distance, but so does Lyoto. Jones transitions to the clinch well, but so does Lyoto. I feel this may come down to who fights better in the clinch, who gets the takedowns, and what can be done to fight off the back/stand up. That said, I say Lyoto stands a good chance at bringing Johnny Bones down. I think he's got the skill and experience against high-caliber opponents, and he definitely has the tools. Jones, however, should be looking to Lyoto Shogun I for his cues on how to neutralize Machida's dancing around. This is probably going to be boring for anyone except other fighters.

All this said, my heart goes for Machida, and my wallet goes for Bones.

Oh and when did Hallman get rehired?!?!

I don't think Machida will win, but I think he is the best choice out of any of the current light heavyweight contenders out right now. I don't see Rashad, Henderson, or even a better condition Shogun having as much of a chance at taking him out. I think his elusive striking and superb takedown defense will be a good challenge for Jones.

As for the other matches, I am rooting for the Noguieras out of Pride nostalgia, but I'm not too heavily invested in either match. Mark Hominick vs The Korean Zombie will hopefully be exciting.

I like this prediction. Not nice, but realistic. The only thing i would add is that Machida could conceivably catch Jones with something, which makes this fight interesting if it stays on the feet, which i'm sure it wont. I'm still putting my eggs in the jones basket primarily due to superathleticism + wrestling. Jones by TKO/KO in Rd 3 or 4

As for Mir vs Big Nog. My nostalgic side and my research have lined up on this one. I think Nog has been seriously training hard and that Mir is washed up. Nog by UD.

Aand hominick vs the korean zombie is an excellent matchup. I pick (on a coin toss) Hominick. Just because.

I'm rooting for Antonio Rodrigo because....it's Big Nog. And Frank Mir is the devil.

I'd like Lil Nog to win, as Tito's probably going to retire after this match anyway and Rogerio needs a win to keep from being cut.

Dennis Hallman. GSP takes two rounds to finish Matt Hughes. Hallman did it in one. Twice.

Machida because I can't stand Greg Jackson and all his left over hippy trippy nonsense, and the whole Jones/Rashad/Jackson soap opera soured me on all three.
