While I don't particularly care for their marketing angle (probably because it's not geared toward me) from what I can see in the video, that program looks pretty solid.
Shut the hell up and train.

I am going to go against the flow on this one and suggest it will be the same shitty self defence stuff. But from people who should know better

If you watch to the end, they "don't teach bare knuckle punches".

    M'kay...punchless female ninjers, negative points.

M'kay..."Teen Ninjas Self Defense Parties for Dance Teams"...positive points.

    M'kay...."Image Transformation Consulting"...what?

I guess based on video they're more ninja than the Booj.

Must concur. That marketing made me nauseous though.

Why would a group trying to teach women to defend themselves pick a name that seems custom tailored to attracting 14 year old boys?

So they have "attackers" to practice on of course.

Given a short training period, and given that on average women are weaker than men, in your opinions would it be more effective to teach grappling or striking to women? I'm just imagining that the leverage of armbar will outdo the damage of punch, but then there's rapist Ground and pound etc.

In an entirely non-sexist way I'd love to get paid to put on one of those survival suits and just have people wail on you all day. You get to pretend you're a giant robot also.

Grappling is a better art for someone smaller and weaker in general. But getting good at grappling takes longer than getting good at striking.

With that being said, a few grip breaks, a couple of sweeps and reversals, and daily running would be a good starting point for women's self defense.

Every comedy skit on the subject suggests that it's totally not worth it.
