You know, it just occurred to me that there are enough Europeans on this site for me to trounce in FIFA 12 that I could bake bread strictly from the heat of my ego.
Any of you commie nancy cheese-eating fairies want to get your butts trounced by a 'Murican?
If you only play with Barca, Real Madrid, or Chelsea, you're a *****.

The gameplay was junk and the characters were light and feathery. FIFA has fixed nearly all it's problems with ball speed, weight, and flight, plus the collision engine is fucking incredible. Oh and defense is a joy to do as well.
My big beef is the PK system, which is more like a minigame than it is like shooting a PK. On the hardest level, you actually need to be a smart tactical passer. With the PES demo I was just knocking throughballs in and owning.

You need to keep up :) Whereas it used to be like "FIFA is for action fans, PES is for simulation fans" this has changed a few years back, with FIFA 10 to be exact. FIFA is not only on par with PES nowadays, it's a matter of personal taste what you play now. FIFA 11 was even much better than PES 2011 :)

Wow, no need to doublecheck that. If you want, simply buy it!
You can send it to me, or I can look to pick it up in person.
My schedule just changed, and unless I am struck by lightning, or something (read my training blog here, it doesn't seem that far fetched) I can make it on September 15! :D
Most interesting. Never took you for that much of a roleplayer, IIF!
I played FFVII on PC years ago, but for some reason never completed it. A grave mistake, in hindsight.
Personally, I am clinging more to the older FFs, though, the Super Nintendo titles, IV, V, and VI ranking easily among my favorite games of all time. Overall, I think FF VI is probably the best title in the entire series, because of its unique atmosphere, and long-term playability. And the music. Oh, the music for that one! - Though of course it cannot compete with the 3-D orgies of today.
I hear ya. I wanted to buy it for a friend's birthday a few years ago. Also, on another occasion, "Legend of Mana". Sorry, a hundred bucks, that's groceries for a month. Not spending that on games. -

€119...for that price I would expect an instant orgasm with every complete level/stage/campaign/whatever.
On the other hand they sell FF7 around €35.

There's someone selling a PS1, but it has been moded with 60 games (but all copy's).
Does anyone know what the life expenstacy is of copy's compaired to original disks?
I'm still in doubt about buying a PS1 and/or a PS2 and/or a PS3.
The series that would interest me, on PS are FF6 till FF13-2, Tekken 1-6, SoulBlade, SoulCalibur 3 (rest is on my xbox and xbox 360).
Maybe also the Tomb raiders that aren't available on the X'ses, but that's about it.
I've been doing some "research":
- a big form factor PS2 can play PS1 games.
- a PS3 80G HDD can play PS1 games and PS2 games.
Now for the above series that I've mentioned, would it be a problem to play them on a PS3 80G or will the games be emulated smoothly.
Does anyone have experience with this and I'm talking about original games, not copy's in this case.
