    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    One legged squat

I did my first full pistol last night at work. In khaki's and dress boots, at 260lbs. I couldn't repeat it with my left leg.

Congratulations! Keep working hard and nail it with that left. Do you back squat frequently or how did you go about preparing for it?

    (Also why at work?)

Did you follow a progression to reach a goal of one legged squat?

Never really trained specifically do to the pistol, but occasionally I'd try one to see if I could. I do follow Stronglift's 5x5 somewhat, but I haven't been getting all three workouts in, and I haven't been to the gym in about two weeks. My back squat was at about 280lbs, but I'll probably drop to 260 when I get back in the gym. I sometimes supplement with kettlebells and heavy ropes when time permits.

Now that I know I can achieve on, I still need to knock off 40lbs, I had gotten to 257 in January just before I did the Warrior Dash, but then I went back on my blood pressure meds and gained 30lbs of medicine weight. I'm back to almost that weight, and my BF% is at around 22%. Huzzah for the Paleo/Primal diet.

And as to why at work? I sit at a desk all day, sometimes I like to do some squats or pushups just to keep the blood flowing.
