Never really trained specifically do to the pistol, but occasionally I'd try one to see if I could. I do follow Stronglift's 5x5 somewhat, but I haven't been getting all three workouts in, and I haven't been to the gym in about two weeks. My back squat was at about 280lbs, but I'll probably drop to 260 when I get back in the gym. I sometimes supplement with kettlebells and heavy ropes when time permits.
Now that I know I can achieve on, I still need to knock off 40lbs, I had gotten to 257 in January just before I did the Warrior Dash, but then I went back on my blood pressure meds and gained 30lbs of medicine weight. I'm back to almost that weight, and my BF% is at around 22%. Huzzah for the Paleo/Primal diet.
And as to why at work? I sit at a desk all day, sometimes I like to do some squats or pushups just to keep the blood flowing.
