    Hell yeah! Hell no!
Do you really want me to go collect stats on how many lives were saved by Hueys, vs. lost on them?

    Don't make me do that.

    Talk about a red herring.

No, the point was not to argue the effectiveness of 'copters, it was to point out the numbers (I probably should have edited the paste more) and that LBJ was Brown and Root and B&R ARE Halliburton and it's the same old story. Corruption most high.

Same old story all the way back to Antiquities. Its an unsolvable problem. The person with the Gold makes the rules. Here this video clip from the daily show sums up the problems with politics.

John and Steve are the best news commentators and as they said, that's sad.

    I gotta add this meme...

Ever since the movement changed everything, it sure does feel the same.

I'm gonna' go out on a limb here and say that meme invokes completely different emotions from you and I. Unless it makes you chuckle and send it to your buddies.

It changed my awareness of who the **** ripped us off. True, the pendulum swings back and forth as always, but I believe it moves slowly toward truth.

And the movement may look dead, but it sure refuse to die. Witness the great work done by Occupy post Sandy (and Rainbow Family Kitchens and other groups just out there doing it).

Now they are going after the crooks on another level, federal regulators, suing to insure they follow the law, : Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System, Martin Gruenberg, Chairman of the FDIC, Elisse Walter, Chair of the SEC, Gary Gensler, Chair of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, Thomas Curry, Comptroller of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Mary Miller, Under Secretary for Domestic Finance at the Treasury, Neal Wolin, Acting Secretary of the Treasury. :

Ten Ways the Occupy Movement Changes Everything

This is just a notion of mine and it is a but conspiratorial theoryish; I think the battle is actually about the super rich keeping the rich and upper middle class in their place. The middle class and poor are just collateral damage. The other gentlemenly battle is between various super rich factions fighting for the most control; we see it as dem vs repubs. I sometimes think high income tax is a way to make sure wealthy wage earners can never challenge the status quo with their wealth ( which after all is a form of power.) Government goodies also seem to be a prize for the mega wealthy.
