I'm still waiting for the OWS retards to put something like this together. Agree with it or not, it is substantive.

Apparently you either deliberately sidestepped my question or couldn't read ii with any degree of comprehension. You still avoided it.

As regards " adhominem" , quit with your whining , you ashcan your snide , smug bullshit and stick to addressing the issue and I won't throw barbs back , if you don't like it that way
then I really can't help ya much , ya get what you give. Now we WERE starting to actually get to a viable discussion , you want to go back the other way then fine do so. But quit pissing and moaning about what you receive in return.

I still don't see the point of the electoral college, other than fucking with our vote.

Pat . all due respect but this goes a great deal deeper than just the issues around derivatives , which are of course just another tool to be exploited by those pulling the strings in the actual central banking structures.

Then you get the central applicable point of the electoral college.

All I remember is, in the Bush vs Gore elections, Gore won the majority vote. Then the Electoral College pulled a 180, in essence saying "**** you America."

It was all part of the compromise to get small states on board with the whole Constitution thing. Direct voting by population limits the ability of sparsely populated states to make their voice heard. The electoral system is pretty much antithetical to equality, since a Wyoming voter ends up being worth three times a Mississipi voter, but the joke is on all of them because the winner-take-all approach to electoral voting that all states except for Nebraska and Maine use still renders them impotent on the national scene.

If all states split the electoral votes by district, big electoral states would lose a lot of their stranglehold on election politics. It's the type of electoral college we should have, but will probably never get.

The Supreme Court were the ones with their middle fingers in the air. Whichever political party wins in a state sends their group of electoral voters to DC. In Florida, Jeb Bush called the state for Republicans, and they sent their group of electoral voters. The Florida Supreme Court called foul on that, and thus the recount was undertaken. Then the Supreme Court decided to step into State affairs and overruled the recount. "Forgotten and lost" boxes of ballots discovered afterward made it clear that Gore would have taken Florida and the presidency, but for the interference of the Supreme Court.
