I'm currently wrestling. Folk Style right now, but the club I'm at will also cover Freestyle and Greco eventually. It's really great stuff. Insane on takedowns and controling position on the ground. No subs or finishes though.
Did BJJ over the summer and loved it. I will definitely go back to it when I can. Those two months I studied it probably did more to improve my real fighting ability than all my years of TKD before that combined.
Regards,
Matt

Yeh. It seems to cover all the basics. Takedowns, a few controled throws and sweeps, and groundwork. Even has a few things that could be turned into submissions if you wanted to. And has a few things (cross face, head butting) that could easily be turned into strikes. All in all a great introduction to the sport.
I can't wait to try Greco, though.

I guess I'll be the oddball of the group here, because I've only studied one martial art in the past 28+ years. I've seen lots of other good MA's, and some that really SUCKED! But for me, I love this particular MA.
Okinawan Shorinryu Matsumura Kenpo (Seito) Karate and Kobudo.
Pros:
Very good, solid, effective techiques.
Not flashy or movement wasting.
GREAT lateral movement.
Not a complicated system, suitable for all body types and ages.
Not competition oriented.
No board breaking.
No head kicks.
All parts of the body are potential targets.
Very good hand/foot techniques, including tuite (similar to aikido).
Philosophy is quality over quantity, small classes, individualized instruction.
Traditional weapons practice easily changes over to whatever you have at hand to use as weapons.
Politics aren't really a problem in this prticular art.
Cons:
Ground fighting could be improved.
I can't afford to travel to higher ranked sensei to train.
*emphasis on this part* For me, this is as nearly a complete MA as I've seen. Not perfect, but I like it.
Living in a rural area in the northwestern USA, we are limited in the types of MA's that are available here. Having travelled around the country a bit (and a month in England) and checking out every dojo that my wife (now ex) would let me during our travels, I can honestly say that I have not found a MA yet that I would rather be studying.
Personal opinion of course, so don't start flaming me. <img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
