    Facial Conditioning a question

    hi i hope i have posted this in the right place. i have been trying to find some information on facial conditioning which has escaped me somewhat. i first tried finding a way to strengthen my jaw but the towel and weights things seems to come with the proof of teeth falling out and that doesn't appeal to me. Now since starting my job as an apprentice martial arts instructor, i have found i am still afraid of taking hits to the face.
    i recently started looking at what is referred to as hard body training, taking this idea i have started massaging/kneading/rubbing my finger knuckles across my jaw, chin, cheeks and eyelashes, don't know if its worked just yet but, i would like to know what your opinion and knowledge on this subject. any help would be appreciated.

    Try not to get hit in the Face. I don't recommend it (but then again, I've a fairly large bugle).

    1- stop being a *****,

    2- go to a boxing gym for a few months, you'll soon stop caring about getting hit in the face.

    i got over it by growing up in an irish family where we all hit each other a lot. i like to use my face to wear down peoples hands and make them tired.

    Getting hit builds character. I've blocked many a punch with my face.

    You're not going to harden your face.

    Keep your mouth shut. Getting hit with your mouth open is asking for a broken jaw or KO.

    Learn to move with the punches.

    Stay loose.

    Get hit a lot. It's part of the game. Don't like it, take up judo. We only hit with mother earth.

    Alex answered your question. There is no way to "harden" the face. You could try the old bare knuckle boxers method and soak your face in brine but I doubt it will make you any less affriad of being punched. If you can't handle getting punched in the face than why would you want to be a martial arts instructor?
