    Naw. They come in second.

Nonwhites with persecution complexes, along with white-guilt types, are much funnier.

Granted no one died that i know of. They just got the **** beaten out of them.
I'm pretty sure they felt persecuted and it clearly wasn't funny, well, to them.
Helped get me into martial arts, but I actually only got beat up by haole jocks at punahou.

So far, I've been to Buck Sam Kong's Siu Lum Pai (years ago) on Houghtailing St. They were really nice to the gwailo. All the danzan ryu places here have been nice to me. And last week we (the danzan ryu school I've been going to since I got here) did a jujitsu clinic at Tenri Judo over in Nu'uanu. They were also super nice. The head sensei there doesn't speak English, only Japanese, and there were haoles aplenty.

Maybe I just tend to gravitate to nice places. Dunno.

The Danzan Ryu is Henry Okazaki's school. Remember from the first page, where Joe Holk (a kaju founder)back in the 30s got thrown out of the Honwangji Temple Judo Dojo (now there were some real racist fucks) because his parents had polluted his Japanese genes with Hawaiian? So he ended up with Danzan Ryu, because Okazaki wasn't a racist.

Back in 1922, Professor Okazaki taught two non-Japanese students, Dr. Baldwin of Hilo, and Chief Fatoio of Samoa. For this he was severely reprimanded. Prior to this Judo and Ju Jitsu were taught exclusively only to Japanese. Because of his dedication to making Jujitsu available to all persons, regardless of ethnic origin, handicap and/or gender. Professor Okazaki was looked down upon by some of his martial arts colleagues for this.

Holk by the way was fortunate to be able to train under Kimura, of beating Helio fame.

Oh, I'm very familiar with Danzan Ryu's long history of inclusiveness. One of the attractive points of the system to me.
