To be completely honest I think that Gary Martin thread was left hanging in MABS and certain questions (regarding lineage etc) were never fully answered.

Apprentice if you really want to give Gary a fair shake and feel brave enough, make sure to read MABS posting guidelines first and then read the thread and contribute something useful.

One more time: make sure you read the MABS posting guidelines first, then read the thread, then contribute something useful.

And you are happy with the result of that training? How would you rate your fighting abilities?

Maybe you should make the jump to a more effective kung fu school, or branch out into a style that will be combat effective?

Seriously there are so many good places to train in Brisbane and at such good prices i wish i didn't have to work full time and could hop gym to gym.

UQ Judo - awesome and affordable Judo
Advanced MMA - great BJJ program with a ridiculous amount of classes, also cheap
Intergrated MA - Best wrestling program around. no contracts and cheap
Nugget's Thai Boxing - Best Muay Thai gym outside Thailand for pro's
Ironfist - Great MT gym for non pro's.
Freestyle Kung Fu - Win more than they lose on amateur MT shows, field a lot of fighters.

Obviously there are a lot of other great places not on this list, I'm tired.

    No problem.

Out of interest, how well do you think 1.5 years at your previous school improved your martial skill set?

Do you feel as comfortable with takedowns as with your striking, did the school cover any ground based grappling?

How would you rate yourself against people training in sports styles?

Three part question = 3 part answer

    1. id say that i have improved immensely after training in Moorebank.

    2. Go and check it out and see for yourself (no **** tone intended.)

    3. I wouldn't
