World War 1 combatives...what fun!
I found a youtube video depicting World War 1 combatives. Looks like boxing and classical jujitsu. You can tell how the boxing is old school because the guard is down, and they seem to be practicing a lot of straight punches to the gut as counters to high punches, whereas nowadays boxers would generally prioritize countering to the head whenever possible. If you watch the whole thing, there's a short segment where you see hand to hand combat with chem gear, that involves a gas mask rip.
Best Vietnam War music video I've ever seen put together by a vet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDY8raKsdfg

That was interesting. Thanks for that. Agree your comments.
At the beginning is a screen board giving the name of Mike Gibbons. He was an early 20th C. HW boxer. So, that's all clear enough.
Classical JJ, check. Some of those techniques are still used today.
The Ball Game. Well, the British Army used to play Murder Ball; 2 opposing Teams have to get the ball to their opposite line. Anything goes.
Cheers for posting.

Cool video. I like the games they play at the end. I also thought the anti-crawling techniques were interesting.
